Are the classes free?

Yes. All courses and events at the Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center in Milpitas are offered free of charge. Contributions are gratefully accepted but never required.

Do I need any meditation experience?

No. Our Raja Yoga Meditation Course is designed for complete beginners, and our Open House and World Meditation Hour are open to everyone.

What is Raja Yoga meditation?

Raja Yoga is a meditation practice which helps you experience peace, inner strength and clarity, and respond to situations rather than react to them.

Do I have to be religious or follow a particular faith?

No. Raja Yoga meditation is accessible to people of all backgrounds and beliefs. Brahma Kumaris is a worldwide spiritual movement, founded in India in 1937 and active in over 110 countries.

When is the center open?

Tuesday 7–9 AM; Wednesday and Thursday 7–8 PM; Saturday and Sunday 9 AM–12 PM (Open House). Closed Monday and Friday. All times are Pacific Time.

Can I just drop in?

Yes. Our Open House runs every Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 12 noon. Families are welcome. Come explore the center, meet our facilitators and try meditation.

Do you have classes for children?

Yes. Nurturing Values is an online class for ages 8–14, held on Sundays from 11 AM to 12 noon Pacific Time. Children build self-respect and respect for others through stories, role plays, activities, guided meditation and games.

What is World Meditation Hour?

A free hour of guided meditation, open to everyone, held on the third Sunday of every month from 7 to 8 PM Pacific Time at the Milpitas center. No experience needed.
