Chick Pea Patties

Chickpea Patties are delicious crispy snack & an easy way to include protein in our vegetarian diet

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. or 29 oz. can chickpeas (boiled)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin seeds
  • 1 table spoon dried coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped curly parsley
  • 2 tablespoon all purpose flour

Directions:

  • Place chickpeas, olive oil in a food processor. Pulsate or grind until thick paste. Add ground spices and rest of the ingredients. Lastly bind it with the all purpose flour.
  • Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes
  • Divide the mixture in 12 golf size balls and flatten them into small patties
  • Shallow fry in a wide frying pan in small batches until golden brown.
