Homemade Veggie Pizza

For 1 Large Pizza

Ingredients:

    • 1 cup wheat flour
    • 1/2 tsp sugar
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 1/4 tsp baking soda
    • Few Italian herbs
    • 2 tbsp yogurt
    • water to knead the dough
    • Veggies (1/3 squash,1/2 zucchini, 1/3 bell pepper, few baby tomatoes, olives)
    • Rennet Free Shredded Mozzarella cheese ( you can find it in Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods)
    • 3 tbsp pizza sauce(See Pizza Sauce Recipe Below)

Making Pizza Sauce from scratch:

        • 3 tomatoes (prefer plum tomatoes )
        • 1/3 red capsicum
        • 1/2 tsp oregano
        • 1/2 tsp salt
        • 1/2 tsp pepper
    Grill the slice of capsicum and tomatoes.
    Peel the tomatoes
    Now blend capsicum and tomatoes along with spices.
    Now add 1 tbsp of tomato sauce (no onion no garlic - you can find it in an Indian grocery store)
    Pizza sauce is ready

Instructions:

    • Mix all dry ingredients (flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, Italian herbs)
    • Add yogurt and knead with water
    • Rest the dough for 10-15 minutes
    • Start rolling the dough and fold the edges
    • Prick the base with the fork
    • Bake for 3 minutes at 425F
    • Spread the sauce over the base and add veggies
    • Brush corner of the base with butter or oil
    • Spread mozzarella cheese and bake for 12-15 min at 425F

Your Homemade Veggie Pizza is now ready to enjoy!
