Happy Diwali!!
Diwali is a special festival when Lakshmi or wealth is invoked into homes and special rituals are performed to welcome prosperity into one’s life. Despite any ritual or efforts we all understand and realize that this physical wealth and richness is only transient and ever fluctuating. It can bring us physical comfort temporarily but will not be able to provide eternal happiness.
In fact, many scholars and learned people stay away from physical wealth as they see it as Maya. In contrast, what is the true wealth that gives us eternal happiness?
It is the spiritual treasures that give the soul comfort and happiness, which is everlasting. So, let us all invoke these spiritual treasures on the occasion of this Diwali. Spiritual realization opens the door for spiritual prosperity.
Spiritual wealth is the real wealth that we need to be focusing on as this is what accompanies us in this life and also beyond this life. Another most fascinating thing is that the Bestower/God gives each one of us these treasures equally with out any differences at this time. How we use them makes us rich or poor in terms of spiritual treasures and the beautiful irony is the more of this wealth we use and spend for our self and others, the multi million fold we accumulate them for ages. These treasures are imperishable and cannot be stolen or destroyed by anyone else. They can only be nurtured/used by the self/soul. The more of this treasure we accumulate the more carefree we become, unlike physical wealth, which is accompanied by worry of protecting it.
Some of these invaluable treasures that we accumulate now are: treasure of spiritual knowledge/treasure of elevated thoughts, treasure of yoga/powers, treasure of virtues/Dharna, treasure of blessings and treasure of attainments, treasure of charity and also treasure of this confluence age time.
Treasure of spiritual knowledge is the true wisdom about the soul/self that we receive from the Supreme source. With this treasure we are able to overcome feelings of sorrow and anxiety, free ourselves from negative, waste and sinful thoughts. We are able to accumulate the treasure of elevated thoughts on the basis of this treasure of knowledge.
Treasure of Yoga/Powers: Through this treasure we connect to the treasure store, gain spiritual powers and are able to overcome all problems and obstacles. This treasure of remembrance removes all the debt of previous wrong actions and burns away our sins. It brings us close to the Source.
Treasure of Dharna/treasure of virtues: With the power of imbibing knowledge and strength of Yoga, we are able to inculcate divine virtues and regain our original elevated nature as divine beings. It is with this treasure we are able to show everyone in a practical way the wealth of our attainments.
Treasure of Seva/charitable action/blessings: With this treasure of elevated actions performed while being cooperative in God’s task we accumulate multimillion fold blessings. We receive treasure of blessings/charitable actions, and this accompanies us for 21 births. This cooperation in God’s task of world transformation through self-transformation also becomes imperishable.
Treasure of the most auspicious confluence age time is that every second of this age is equivalent to one year in terms of attainments and rewards that are received. This is the time for earning the reward for the whole cycle. We attain God, God’s love,
God’s knowledge and his treasures only now.
These spiritual treasures make the soul self-sovereign and give eternal happiness. So, let us all invoke and accumulate these special treasures to become spiritually prosperous.
