24th June is Mamma's Remembrance Day.
Mateshwari Jagadamba Saraswati (Mamma) was the first administrative head of Brahma Kumaris.
Mamma’s Specialities
1. Mamma had the pride of soul consciousness.
2. Mamma was a living idol of the divine virtues.
3. Mamma was an embodiment of renunciation.
4. Mamma used to love being in solitude.
5. Mamma’s way of walking, moving and speaking was absolutely like that of an angel.
6. Mamma always used to have a constant and stable stage.
7. Mamma’s heart was so clean that whatever she heard would become imprinted on it.
8. Mamma was an example for us children at the confluence age.
9. Mamma was responsible for the Yagya and yet always remained free from any thoughts.
10. Mamma had an unlimited heart. She had a gift of motherly qualities naturally such that a mother would never speak of her children’s weaknesses to anyone, but would merge these in her heart. And she would try and transform such children with love.
11. Mamma had conquered her physical senses.
12. To the extent that Mamma’s praise was elevated, her stage was just as much egoless.
13. Mamma was practically an example of karma yoga. Whilst living here in the old world, she used to reside in the new world.
14. Mamma always had her aim and objective in front of her, as to what she was going to become. She was always focused on that aim practically.
15. All her life, Mamma did service, she never took service. Mamma made her life so beautiful through Baba’s sweet murli. Mamma never took any personal service from anyone.
16. At the time of the establishment, Mamma faced every type of obstacle.
17. Mamma was an embodiment of tolerance.
18. Mamma was equal in respect and disrespect, praise and defamation, happiness and sorrow, victory and defeat. Her stage was like that of a lotus.
19. Mamma always remained peaceful, sincere and mature, and was always happy.
20. Mamma would tell all of us children our weaknesses and then show us a method to move forward.
21. Mamma was always obedient to Mother and Father, that is, to BapDada. She was the number one obedient child in following shrimat.
22. Mamma had unbroken faith in the intellect.
23. According to the drama, Mamma’s body was also unique, and BapDada, Himself selected her, through which the divine virtues of Jagadamba and Shri Lakshmi were practically visible.
24. In the end, at the time of the illness of the body, Mamma attained complete victory over the five elements, that is, over matter.
25. Mamma was a conqueror of sleep.
26. From the beginning to the end, Mamma did not miss a single BapDada’s sweet murli.
Mamma’s personality was very powerful. Mamma would look at you and not saying a word, you will understand. Such a spiritual stage was achieved. There was a magical force in her words. Mamma’s words had changed the lives of many and inspired them to become great. Mateshwari was the epitome of service. She was given the responsibility of managing the “Yagya” (the Institution). She would look after every need of the spiritual children and be at their service until her last breath. She left her mortal coil on June 24, 1965, now celebrated as Mamma’s sweet Remembrance Day.
